Carolyn Kohly, MA, LMHC, LPCLife can feel overwhelming at times, and the impact of past and present experiences can interrupt our relationships, health, work, and wellbeing. You don't need to navigate it alone.
I specialize in and care deeply about helping individuals dealing with difficulties related to food and body, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationships. While many factors contribute to healing, I believe therapy can be a powerful tool to navigate complexities, build resilience, and further self-discovery. I utilize both person-centered and evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, and ACT) to empower my clients coping with overwhelming emotions and life's challenges.
My approach is warm, non-judgmental, and individualized for your goals in therapy. I aim to meet each of my clients right where they are as I help them work through their unique story and circumstances. It's my hope to help you do the same. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re continuing on, I would love to connect to talk about potential next steps.
With empathy and expertise, I hope to provide a supportive space for personal growth. I earned my Masters degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University, and my Bachelors degree in Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor/Licensed Professional Counselor in New York, Florida, Alabama, and Georgia.

About me
While I am an out-of-network provider, I recommend contacting your insurance company to see if you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for session fees through out-of-network benefits. Superbills will be provided for reimbursement.
Session rates will be discussed during our initial consultation, as well as any other questions you might have.
Individual sessions are 50 minutes.
Right now, all therapy sessions are done virtually using a HIPPA compliant video software.
I am currently accepting clients living in NY, FL, GA, and AL.
